Supported Distributions

UDS Core runs on any CNCF-conformant Kubernetes distribution that has not reached End-of-Life. The following are actively tested in CI:

UDS Core tests EKS, AKS, and RKE2 against Kubernetes 1.35. The target is typically n-1 (one minor version behind the latest release, latest patch). This version may lag slightly behind new Kubernetes releases.

Note

Unlisted CNCF-conformant distributions are expected to work but are not validated in CI. Bug reports and contributions for compatibility issues are welcome.

The Kubernetes compatibility workflow tests exact K3s releases. This workflow does not define the UDS Core support policy. Kubernetes release support is tracked by the Kubernetes release calendar.
